[Case Study] Major Stationery Manufacturer

All products that are manually assembled in overseas factories for stationery supplies will be fully automated!

We would like to introduce a case study that solved the challenges faced by a major stationery manufacturer. The company requested our assistance from the Automation Production Technology Department to develop a high-spec automatic assembly line. We worked on automating the processes that were currently being done manually, step by step. First, we proposed to leverage the designs of past standalone machines while increasing the takt time to achieve labor-saving efficiencies. As a result, the line that previously required about 50 workers for manual assembly now only needs around 5 machine assistance personnel. The former workers were reassigned to other processes and workplaces, leading to a fourfold increase in production capacity and establishing a mass production system. [Case Overview] ■ Challenge: Production was being carried out using semi-automatic machines and standalone devices, leading to a significant increase in labor costs and the need for improved productivity through automation. ■ Solution: Increased production capacity, reduction of root causes, and reduction of man-hours. ■ Outcome: Production capacity increased fourfold. *For more details, please refer to the PDF document or feel free to contact us.
